Accessible Palette Suggester

Suggest text color adjustments against one fixed background using WCAG contrast math. Opaque sRGB HEX only; no alpha, images or uploads. Each text color is checked only against the fixed background, not against other palette colors. Large text means at least 18 pt, or 14 pt bold. This is a design aid, not a guarantee of accessible design or whole-page WCAG conformance.

Passing colors stay unchanged. Others are blended toward black and white in 1/255 steps, rounded to 8-bit sRGB, and checked using the unrounded WCAG ratio. Among passing candidates the smallest RGB squared change wins (ties use black first). This bounded search is not a perceptual or global optimum and may change brand appearance or collapse colors.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter text HEX colors and a fixed background.
  2. Choose a text contrast target and generate suggestions.
  3. Compare ratios, review the design, and copy the suggested HEX list.
