Letter boundaries
A dash is inserted only for whitespace with a Unicode letter on both sides. Punctuation, symbols, numbers, combining marks, and emoji are not silently removed or rewritten.
Input information is preserved
The tool preserves letter case and every input character except whitespace between two Unicode letters, which becomes one dash. Punctuation, symbols, numbers, and line breaks are not deleted.

Does this remove punctuation?
No. Punctuation and symbols remain exactly where they were.
What counts as a word boundary?
Only whitespace between two Unicode letters is changed. This supports letters beyond English, including accented, Greek, Cyrillic, CJK, and Devanagari letters.
Does it change letter case?
No. Letter case and every character other than eligible whitespace are preserved.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Processing, copying, and downloading happen locally in your browser.
