A careful Unicode reference
This trainer covers the 28 basic Arabic letters and their common Unicode presentation forms. ا د ذ ر ز و do not join to a following letter, so their initial and medial entries use the isolated shape.
Forms are not full calligraphy
Presentation forms are a practice aid. Font shaping, neighboring letters, language conventions, hamza variants, and ligatures can change what appears in real text.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does this teach Arabic spelling?
No. It drills letter shapes only and does not assess pronunciation, vocabulary, or spelling.
Why do some forms look the same?
Non-joining letters cannot connect on their left side, so initial or medial positions collapse to a non-joining shape.
Does it use a network?
No. The letter data and exercise run in this browser.
