Bandwidth Delay Product Calculator
Calculate bandwidth × round-trip time and the nominal single-flow window size.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter the values and choose their units.
- Bandwidth: >0 to 1,000,000 selected units; RTT: >0 to 1,000,000 ms or s. Decimal k/M/G prefixes use 1,000. BDP (bits)=bandwidth (bit/s)×RTT (s); bytes=bits/8, KiB=bytes/1,024. A nominal single-flow in-flight window at least as large as BDP can fill this ideal path. This is arithmetic, not a speed or latency test; TCP overhead, congestion control and actual buffers may change throughput.
- Review the calculated result.
