Batch Image Renamer

Choose a pasted-name plan or a ZIP of selected-file copies, then review every old and new name.

The pasted-name mode keeps the stem, applies literal replacement, prefix and suffix, and adds a padded sequential number. Up to 5,000 basenames; it creates a CSV plan without opening files.

Output names must be nonempty, at most 200 UTF-8 bytes, and free of path separators, colons, control characters and Windows-invalid or reserved names. Trailing dots/spaces and . or .. are rejected. NFC-normalized names are compared without case distinction; collisions are reported before export. In CSV and copied CSV only, names whose first non-whitespace character is =, +, - or @ receive a leading apostrophe to reduce spreadsheet formula interpretation. The mapping and ZIP filenames are unchanged.

Enter basenames to begin.

Cancel discards the result. JSZip cannot abort an active generation; it may continue using memory until it finishes. Another ZIP cannot start until that job settles.

Pasted names and selected files are processed in this browser session. Nothing is uploaded, saved persistently or changed on your disk.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a pasted-name plan or a ZIP of selected-file copies, then review every old and new name.
  2. The pasted-name mode keeps the stem, applies literal replacement, prefix and suffix, and adds a padded sequential number. Up to 5,000 basenames; it creates a CSV plan without opening files.
  3. Selected-file mode uses a pattern up to 100 characters: {name} is the original stem and {n} is the unpadded sequence. Start is an integer from 0 to 1,000,000,000. The last extension is preserved. ZIP entries contain only basenames and unchanged file bytes; original files on your disk are not renamed.

Files

Up to 500 selected files, 20,000,000 bytes per file and 100,000,000 bytes total. The generated STORE ZIP must be at most 120,000,000 bytes. These are processing and memory guards, not storage quotas or guarantees of available memory.
