A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Edit the breadcrumb names and optional URLs in page order.
  2. Add or remove steps as needed; positions are numbered automatically.
  3. Copy the JSON-LD script block or download it as a text snippet.

Ordered breadcrumb items

Each non-empty name becomes one schema.org ListItem. Positions are assigned from 1 in the order shown. A URL is optional for any step, including the current page; blank URLs are omitted from the JSON-LD.

Safe, local snippet generation

Names and URLs are escaped by JSON.stringify, and less-than signs are encoded to prevent a name from closing the surrounding script tag. Non-empty URLs must be absolute HTTP or HTTPS URLs. The tool does not fetch pages, verify that a breadcrumb matches a site, or guarantee search-engine display.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does every breadcrumb need a URL?

No. Leave the current page URL blank, or omit a URL for any step without a separate destination.

Where do I place this block?

Copy the complete script block into the HTML of the page described by the breadcrumb. The tool does not add it to your site.

Does this guarantee a search result enhancement?

No. It creates a correctly structured draft, but search engines decide whether and how to display rich results.

Is my breadcrumb data uploaded?

No. The snippet is generated in this browser and no page is fetched.
