0 and 1 only; up to 10,000 bits per value.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter only 0 and 1 characters in each operand.
  2. Use up to 10,000 bits per operand.
  3. Calculate to see the normalized binary sum.

Unsigned bit strings

Each operand is a non-empty string containing only 0 and 1. The calculation treats the string as an unsigned binary value; it never infers a sign bit or two’s-complement representation.

Length limit

Each operand may contain up to 10,000 bits. The result may contain one additional carry bit. Inputs are validated before any calculation.

Local calculation

Validation and addition run locally in your browser. No input is uploaded or stored.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are negative binary numbers supported?

No. Enter unsigned bit strings made only of 0 and 1. A leading 1 is an ordinary value bit, not a sign bit.

Can I use spaces or prefixes?

No. Do not include spaces, separators, a minus sign, or prefixes such as 0b.

What happens to leading zeroes?

They are accepted as value-preserving input and removed from the displayed result, except that zero is shown as 0.
