Does it validate moves?
No. Any piece can be placed on any square.
Can I paste FEN?
Yes. Paste FEN and apply it; invalid board placement is rejected. Supplied trailing fields are preserved without validation; if absent, the previous or default tail is kept.
Is my position saved?
No. It remains only in the current browser tab unless you copy the FEN.
