A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Choose a relative threshold and how long it must persist; optionally enable the sound alert.
- Select Start meter and allow microphone access, then watch the 0–100 display.
- Select Stop when finished; use fullscreen for a large color view.
Relative energy, not dB
The 0–100 value is calibrated only to the current browser signal and is not a decibel measurement. It cannot determine hearing safety or support legal or regulatory complaints.
Permission and privacy
Microphone access is requested only after you select Start meter. Audio is analysed in the page, never recorded, saved, or uploaded. Stopping, leaving, or unloading the page stops all microphone tracks and closes the audio context.
