A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste the first and second columns, one value per line.
  2. Choose the delimiter to place between matching rows.
  3. Combine the rows, then copy the result.

Row-by-row pairing

Rows are paired by position, starting at the first line. The two columns must contain the same number of lines, including empty lines, so no value is silently dropped.

Literal delimiter

The separator is inserted exactly as entered between each pair. It can be a space, comma, tab, or any other plain-text string.

Local plain-text processing

Input is processed in your browser and is not uploaded. The result remains plain text and can be copied for use elsewhere.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

What if the columns have different numbers of lines?

The tool reports an error and asks you to make the line counts match before combining.

Are empty lines preserved?

Yes. Empty lines count as rows and are joined with the selected delimiter.

Can I use a tab or multiple spaces?

Yes. Enter the exact delimiter you want, including a tab or several spaces.
