Formula and units
Total DM = concentrate DM + forage DM; each share = component DM / total DM × 100. Both masses must be nonnegative and total DM must be greater than zero.
Scope
Enter dry matter kilograms on the same basis. Fresh weights cannot be compared directly because moisture varies. This tool supplies no recommended ratio and does not assess nutritional adequacy.

Can I enter fresh weights?
No. Obtain dry matter masses first using appropriate moisture information, then enter both in kg.
Is 0% allowed for one component?
Yes, when the other dry matter mass is positive. Both masses cannot be zero.
