IP to HEX Converter
Enter a dotted-decimal IPv4 address to validate all four octets and convert the address to one 32-bit hexadecimal value.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter exactly four dotted-decimal IPv4 octets.
- Convert the address locally.
- Copy the fixed-width hexadecimal result.
Strict IPv4 input
The input must contain exactly four decimal octets. Each octet must be 0 through 255, with no sign, decimal fraction, spaces between digits, or leading zeroes except the single value 0.
Fixed-width HEX output
Each octet is encoded as exactly two hexadecimal digits. The result is always eight hexadecimal digits preceded by 0x, preserving the full 32-bit IPv4 width.
Local processing
Validation and conversion happen in this browser. The tool does not parse IPv6, resolve DNS, upload the address, or make a network lookup.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Are IPv6 addresses supported?
No. This tool accepts strict dotted-decimal IPv4 only.
Why is the result always eight digits?
IPv4 is 32 bits, and each of its four octets contributes exactly two hexadecimal digits.
Is the 0x prefix required in the input?
No. The IPv4 input is dotted decimal; 0x is added to the output only.
