A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Open the tool to capture the current browser clock.
  2. Read the UTC and Unix representations.
  3. Wait for the display to refresh each second when you need a current value.

One local clock, three representations

The tool reads Date.now() in this browser and formats the same instant as UTC ISO 8601, whole Unix seconds, and Unix milliseconds.

Automatic refresh

The display refreshes once per second. It does not contact a network time service, so accuracy depends on the device clock.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this use a network time source?

No. It uses the current clock supplied by this browser.

Why can the value differ from another clock?

The result follows your device clock, which may be ahead or behind a synchronized reference clock.

Are Unix seconds rounded?

Unix seconds are truncated to whole seconds; Unix milliseconds retain the millisecond value.
