Data URL Builder
Choose a MIME type and encoding to embed text in a data URL, or inspect the header and decoded body of an existing URL in your browser.
Local processing. Text: 100,000 characters; data URL: 1 MB of UTF-8 bytes. Only PNG, JPEG, GIF and WebP can be previewed after byte inspection. HTML and SVG remain escaped source; they are never rendered or fetched.
Enter text to generate a URL, or paste a data URL to parse.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter text, choose a MIME type, percent or Base64 encoding, and optional UTF-8 charset.
- Generate the URL, or paste an existing data URL and select Parse.
- Inspect the MIME, charset, Base64 flag and decoded body; copy or download the URL as TXT.
UTF-8 generation and local inspection
Text is encoded as UTF-8 bytes before Base64 conversion. Parsing accepts a MIME type, optional charset and optional final Base64 marker. Invalid percent escapes, noncanonical Base64 and unsupported header parameters are rejected. All processing stays in the browser; the supplied URL is never fetched.
Limits and previews
Text is limited to 100,000 Unicode characters and data URLs to 1 MB of UTF-8 bytes. Decodable text appears as escaped source in a text box; other bytes appear as hexadecimal. Only PNG, JPEG, GIF and WebP with matching byte signatures can be previewed on request. HTML and SVG are never rendered. Image validity still depends on the browser decoder.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does Base64 change Unicode text?
UTF-8 bytes are encoded, so multilingual text and emoji are preserved. Invalid Unicode input is rejected.
Can I execute HTML or preview every MIME type?
No. HTML and SVG are source only. Preview is limited to inspected raster image bytes and runs only when you select the preview button.
Can I parse every data URL?
No. Only MIME, charset and Base64 headers are supported. Strict Base64, valid percent escapes and the 1 MB limit are required; no remote URL is loaded.
