Two-way formulas
Decimal hours = hours + minutes ÷ 60. Converting back uses the whole-hour part and rounds the fractional part multiplied by 60 to the nearest whole minute.
Rounding and carry
Minutes use standard nearest-integer rounding. If rounding reaches 60, the result carries one hour and shows 00 minutes.

Why use decimal hours?
