Degrees to Radians
Convert a finite degree value to radians locally, with explicit precision and multi-turn behavior.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter a finite degree value.
- Choose 0–12 decimal places.
- Convert and read the radian result.
Formula
The conversion is radians = degrees × π ÷ 180. The calculation uses the browser’s Math.PI constant.
Input and precision
Finite values from −1,000,000,000,000° through 1,000,000,000,000° are accepted. Display precision is selectable from 0 to 12 decimal places; rounding changes only the display.
Multi-turn angles
Values are not normalized or wrapped. Angles such as 360°, 720°, and −360° retain their full turns and convert to 2π, 4π, and −2π radians respectively.
Local calculation
The value stays in this browser and is not uploaded or stored.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Is 360° changed to 0?
No. Multi-turn values are preserved, so 360° converts to approximately 6.283185 rad.
How many decimals can I display?
Choose any integer precision from 0 through 12 decimal places.
What values are rejected?
Empty, non-numeric, non-finite, and out-of-range values are rejected.
