A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Choose a local JPEG, PNG, or WebP image.
- Set output width, palette, and ordered Bayer or error-diffusion dithering.
- Review the final-size preview and download the PNG.
Final display size
The source is resized to the selected output width before dithering, so the preview and exported PNG represent the pixels you intend to display.
Local processing and limits
Nothing is uploaded. JPEG, PNG, and WebP inputs are limited to 20 MB, 10,000 pixels per side, and 40 megapixels. Output width is limited to 2,000 pixels; height follows the source aspect ratio.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does this upload my image?
No. The image is decoded, resized, dithered, and encoded locally in your browser.
What does dithering change?
Ordered Bayer uses a regular threshold pattern. Floyd–Steinberg and Atkinson spread quantization error to nearby pixels for a more textured result.
Are the source dimensions preserved?
No. The output is generated at the selected width, with height calculated from the source aspect ratio.
