A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a recipient email address and optionally add a subject and message.
  2. Generate the QR code, then scan it with a phone to check the draft.
  3. Download the PNG or copy the mailto link.

A standard mailto link

The code contains a mailto link with URL-encoded subject and message fields. It opens an email draft; it does not send a message.

Private local processing

The address and message are encoded and rendered in this browser. Nothing is uploaded or saved by this tool. The downloaded QR image contains the email details you entered.

Keep the payload compact

The recipient is limited to 254 characters, the subject to 200, the message to 1,000, and the complete UTF-8 link to 2,048 bytes. QR images are generated at a fixed 512 px edge.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does scanning send the email?

No. It opens a prefilled draft in a compatible email app. The person scanning must review and send it.

Are my email details uploaded?

No. Link and QR generation happen locally in your browser, with no network request or persistent storage.

Why is there a size limit?

Shorter QR payloads are easier for cameras to scan. The tool limits each field and the total encoded link to keep the code manageable.
