Factor Calculator
Enter one nonzero safe integer to list its positive factors. Add a second nonzero integer to calculate the GCF and LCM.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter a nonzero safe integer to see its positive factor list.
- Optionally enter a second nonzero safe integer.
- Calculate locally to view factors and, when two values are entered, the GCF and LCM.
Nonzero integer inputs
Inputs must be nonzero safe integers. The tool lists positive factor pairs for the absolute value of the first number. Zero is rejected by the current calculator.
GCF and LCM
With a second nonzero integer, the calculator uses Euclid’s algorithm for the GCF and calculates LCM as |a × b| ÷ GCF.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Are negative integers supported?
Yes. The factor list uses the positive factors of the absolute value.
Can I enter zero?
No. The current calculator requires each entered integer to be nonzero.
