LOCAL TEXT FORMATTING

Align text to a chosen width

Distribute spaces between words on existing lines. The browser never uploads your text or wraps it automatically.

Limits: 50,000 characters and 10,000 lines. Leading and trailing spaces are trimmed; width counts UTF-16 code units. Existing line breaks are preserved and lines wider than the target stay unchanged.

How to use

  1. Paste plain text and choose a line width from 20 to 120 characters.
  2. Select Justify text to distribute spaces between words on each eligible line.
  3. Copy or download the generated TXT file.

Existing lines stay separate

The tool processes each line split by your existing line breaks. It does not reflow or automatically wrap a long line. A line already wider than the selected width remains unchanged.

Spaces and width counting

Leading and trailing spaces are trimmed before a line is considered. Words are separated by any run of whitespace. Width counts JavaScript UTF-16 code units, so a visible character outside the basic multilingual plane can count as two.

Local text limits

Input is limited to 50,000 characters and 10,000 lines. Generation, copying, and TXT download happen locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

You may also want to know

Does this automatically wrap text?

No. Existing line breaks are preserved and lines are never split automatically. Use a separate text wrapping tool first when you need new line breaks.

What happens to a one-word line?

It stays unchanged because there is no gap between words where extra spaces can be distributed.

How are extra spaces distributed?

The available spaces are divided as evenly as possible between word gaps. When there is a remainder, the leftmost gaps receive one extra space in order.

Are my words uploaded?

No. The text is generated, copied, and downloaded in your browser.
