User-entered depth model
This calculator models coverage as inversely proportional to depth: target coverage = quoted coverage × quoted depth ÷ target depth. This is a nominal estimate based on your entered rate, not a universal material law, density conversion or manufacturer claim.
Bag and weight totals
Fractional bags = area × (1 + spare percentage ÷ 100) ÷ target coverage. Whole bags are rounded up. Needed weight uses fractional bags × bag mass; spare weight is the difference between purchased and fractional weight. Cost is whole bags × price per bag.

Does coverage always scale exactly with depth?
No universal claim is made. The inverse-depth relationship is only the nominal model used here with your entered coverage and reference depth.

Does this determine how deep my floor needs levelling?
