GitHub Actions Workflow Generator
Generate reviewable GitHub Actions YAML locally for Node, Python or Go. Choose triggers, runner and version matrices, jobs, caches, artifacts and concurrency; deployment remains an explicitly disabled placeholder.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Select the runtime, branches, triggers, runner/version matrix and CI jobs.
- Set caching, concurrency and optional artifact path; enter only deployment secret names.
- Generate, review prerequisites, copy or download YAML, and optionally copy the badge.
Runtime
Node requires package-lock.json and npm scripts for selected jobs. Python requires requirements.txt and pyproject.toml; the template installs ruff, pytest and build. Go requires go.mod/go.sum; go build checks compilation and may not produce an artifact directory. Review or pin all dependencies and adjust commands and artifact path in the downloaded YAML. Runners use Bash on all three platforms. Cron is UTC on the default branch, may be delayed, and has a 5-minute minimum interval; this editor accepts numeric POSIX fields only.
Review and least privilege
This browser-only tool does not read a repository, run GitHub Actions, validate your dependency files or deploy anything. Tags are fixed verified releases, not a promise of the latest version. Templates target GitHub.com hosted runners. Save under .github/workflows/ and review before committing. Review each generated permission and job before committing. Keep contents read-only unless a job needs a narrower documented scope; pin third-party actions to reviewed full-length commit SHAs where practical, and use protected environments for deployment approvals.
Deploy (disabled placeholder)
Deployment is disabled with false and restricted to push/manual runs on the target branch. Configure a reviewed SSH/cloud script, provider authentication and protected production environment before enabling it. Enter secret identifiers only, never values; references appear only in the disabled deploy job. No provider, Docker/GHCR publishing or credentials are configured.
