* matches zero or more characters within one segment, ? matches one Unicode code point, and a standalone ** segment matches zero or more segments. Matching is case-sensitive and covers the entire path. Dotfiles are included.

No. This is the documented subset only. Character classes, brace expansion, extglobs, negation and backslash escapes are rejected. It does not implement Git ignore rules or guarantee equivalence to a shell or library.

Use up to 256 UTF-16 characters in the pattern and 50,000 in the path list, with at most 200 paths and 1,024 characters per path. Empty lines are ignored; spaces are preserved. Paths are relative and use /. Nothing is normalized or read from disk.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a glob pattern using forward slashes.
  2. Enter one relative path per line.
