One JSON value per line
Each line must contain a valid JSON value, including objects, arrays, strings, numbers, booleans, or null. Blank lines are invalid; one line break after the final record is allowed.

Can a JSONL line contain a scalar such as a number or null?
Yes. JSON Lines permits any valid JSON value on each line, not only objects.
Are blank lines skipped?
No. A blank line is not a JSON value, so it is reported as an error.
Is a newline after the last record allowed?
Yes. One final line break is accepted and does not create an empty record.
Does validation run on a server?
No. Each line is parsed in your browser, and the text stays on this device.
