These are source-byte and rough structure counts only. They do not estimate rendered transfer size, compression, or network requests.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste HTML up to 1 MiB or choose an HTML file up to 1 MiB.
  2. Analyze the source locally.
  3. Review raw bytes and rough line and element counts.

Source size only

The byte count is the pasted source encoded as UTF-8 or the selected file’s raw byte length. It does not estimate rendered transfer size, compression, caching, headers, or network requests.

Rough structure counts

Lines are counted from source line endings. Elements are counted after the browser parses the source in a detached document; malformed HTML may be repaired, so this is an approximate indicator rather than a validator.

Local and bounded

Input is limited to 1 MiB and remains in the browser. No file or HTML is uploaded, saved, rendered into the page, or executed.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Is this the downloaded page size?

No. It reports only source bytes or the selected file’s bytes; rendered transfer size and compression are outside the tool’s scope.

Can it analyze a live URL?

No. Paste the source or select a local HTML file.
