HTML Table to CSV
Paste HTML containing a table to extract its visible cell text as CSV. Rowspan and colspan are kept as authored and are not expanded.
Paste one HTML table, then convert it locally.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste HTML containing a table.
- Review the rows and cells extracted from the first table.
- Copy or download the CSV output.
Local DOM parsing
The browser DOMParser reads the pasted HTML and extracts the first table, its rows, and cell text. Scripts and non-table content are ignored.
CSV-safe output
Commas, quotes, and line breaks are escaped with standard double-quote CSV rules. Rowspan and colspan are not expanded; each authored cell remains one output value.
Bounded input
Input is limited to 1 MB, one table, 1,000 rows, and 100 cells per row. Oversized or empty input is rejected to keep local processing predictable.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does it expand rowspan or colspan?
No. It preserves each authored cell without filling or expanding a grid.
Which table is extracted?
The first table in the pasted HTML is used.
Is my HTML uploaded?
No. Parsing and CSV generation happen locally in your browser.
