A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a 15-digit IMEI, with optional spaces or hyphens.
  2. Validate it locally with the Luhn algorithm.
  3. Review the TAC, serial, entered check digit, and computed check digit.

Format and checksum only

This tool strips spaces and hyphens, requires exactly 15 ASCII digits, and verifies the final digit with Luhn. It does not verify device identity, ownership, carrier activation, network access, or blacklist status.

Local processing

The IMEI stays in your browser. No lookup or network request is made.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does a valid IMEI prove the device is genuine?

No. A valid format and checksum only show mathematical consistency. They do not verify device identity or network blacklist status.

What are TAC and serial?

The TAC is digits 1–8 and the serial is digits 9–14. Digit 15 is the entered check digit.

Is my IMEI uploaded?

No. Processing is performed locally in your browser.
