A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose guitar, ukulele, or bass.
  2. Allow microphone access and start the tuner.
  3. Play one sustained string and adjust toward zero cents.

Supported tunings

Standard guitar EADGBE, standard ukulele GCEA, and standard four-string bass EADG.

Limits and privacy

Audio is processed locally and not uploaded. Noise, quiet signals, multiple notes, and notes outside the expected range can prevent a reading. A result is guidance, not a calibrated measurement.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

How does pitch detection work?

Autocorrelation estimates the waveform period, then the frequency is compared with the nearest target note.

What does cents mean?

A cent is one hundredth of a semitone; values near zero are closer to the target.
