A visual preference, not a treatment
This page creates a visual reading preview by emphasizing word beginnings. It is not medical advice, a diagnostic tool, or a treatment for dyslexia, ADHD, vision conditions, or any other reading difficulty. Reading effects vary by person and context; use the preview only when it feels useful to you.
Auditable word and prefix rules
A word run is one or more Unicode letters, with attached combining marks. Digits, punctuation, emoji, spaces, tabs, and line breaks are not treated as words and remain untouched. Light, medium, and strong use approximately 35%, 50%, and 65% of each word run’s displayed graphemes, rounded up. A word with two or more displayed graphemes always leaves at least one final grapheme unbolded; a one-grapheme word is fully emphasized.
Safe local preview and reliable copying
The preview is built from DOM text nodes and strong elements, never from HTML parsed from your input, so pasted markup is displayed as text. The plain-text result is exactly the input and is the only copy and TXT-download format offered; rich-text clipboard output differs too widely across apps to promise reliable formatting. Input is limited to 25,000 word runs and 100,000 UTF-16 characters.

Does this make me read faster?
It may be a useful visual preference for some people, but this tool does not measure reading speed and makes no performance, health, accessibility, or treatment claim.
What exactly becomes bold?
Only leading graphemes in Unicode letter runs become bold. The selected strength determines the rounded-up prefix share, while leaving a final grapheme unbolded in every word run that has at least two graphemes.
Are my spaces and punctuation changed?
No. The preview preserves all original non-letter text, including whitespace, punctuation, digits, emoji, and line endings. The plain-text copy and TXT download contain the original input exactly.
Why does Copy plain text not include bold formatting?
Formatting transfer is inconsistent among browsers and destination apps. Copying the original plain text is predictable, and the visual emphasis remains available in this browser preview.
