What happens when the search value is empty?
The original text is returned unchanged, including its lines and newline style.
Are spaces and blank lines preserved?
Yes. Matching lines are returned without trimming, and blank lines are kept only when they match an empty query.
Are line endings supported?
Yes. LF, CRLF, and CR are accepted; output uses the first newline style found.
