Standard Web Crypto algorithms
The page uses the browser’s built-in SubtleCrypto digest operation for SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512. The output is lowercase hexadecimal.

Which hash algorithms are available?
You can generate SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512 digests.
Does whitespace affect the result?
Yes. Every character, including spaces and line breaks, is part of the input bytes.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Hashing runs locally in your browser through the Web Crypto API.
Should I use SHA-1 for passwords?
No. SHA-1 is included for compatibility checks. Passwords should use a password-specific KDF such as Argon2id, scrypt, or PBKDF2 with a salt.
