Literal separators with predictable results
Choose new lines, commas, tabs, semicolons, or up to 20 characters of custom separator text. Separators are matched literally; regular expression syntax is never executed.
Keep or remove empty items
Consecutive or edge separators create empty items. Keep them when their positions matter, or remove them before joining the output. Item text is preserved exactly, including surrounding spaces.
Local processing and practical limits
The list is parsed and converted in your browser and is not uploaded. Input is limited to 100,000 characters and 50,000 items; generated output is limited to 500,000 characters.

Does this tool upload my list?
No. Parsing and conversion happen locally in your browser.
Can I use a pipe or multi-character separator?
Yes. Choose Custom literal text and enter one to 20 characters, such as | or ::.
What happens to blank items?
They are preserved by default. Enable Remove empty items to discard values created by leading, trailing, or repeated separators.
Does it trim spaces around items?
No. Item text stays unchanged so meaningful spaces are not silently removed.
