Structural metadata only
This inspector uses PDF.js to read metadata exposed by PDF signature fields, such as signer name, reason, stored signing time, filter, SubFilter, ByteRange, and PDF.js coverage fields when present. It does not read the signature payload or perform cryptographic verification.
No trust or legal conclusion
A listed signature is not proof of identity, validity, trust, certificate status, revocation status, timestamp status, or legal effect. Missing or incomplete fields are shown as unavailable rather than guessed.
Local and bounded
The selected file is opened from your device with PDF.js. Its bytes are not uploaded, fetched from a URL, or sent to a server. Password-protected, damaged, unsupported, oversized, and overlong PDFs are reported without producing a signature judgment.

Does this verify that a signature is valid?
No. It only displays structural metadata reported by PDF.js. It does not validate cryptography, CMS data, certificate chains, revocation, timestamps, identities, trust, or legal effect.
What does “covers whole document” mean?
It is a structural coverage field reported by PDF.js from the PDF byte ranges and update structure. It is not a statement that the signature is valid, trusted, or legally effective.
Why are some signature fields unavailable?
PDF signature dictionaries do not have to contain every optional field. The tool displays only data PDF.js actually reports and leaves missing values unavailable.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. PDF bytes are read locally in your browser and no document-data request is made by this page.
