JSON Minifier

Local only. Limit: 1 MB input. Number tokens are preserved lexically to avoid changing large integers.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Paste valid JSON up to 1 MB.
  2. Minify the JSON locally.
  3. Review, copy, or reuse the compact output.

Token-preserving compression

JSON.parse validates syntax, while a string scanner removes whitespace outside strings. This keeps large integer tokens as written and avoids silently changing their digits. It does not normalize numbers.

Local and size-limited

Input is limited to 1 MB. The tool reports input and output byte counts. Nothing is uploaded, and invalid JSON is rejected.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Can large integers be changed?

No. The output is built by removing whitespace from the original text, so number tokens are preserved lexically. JSON.parse is used only for validation.

Does it format or normalize values?

No. It only removes insignificant whitespace outside strings; it does not sort keys or rewrite number notation.

What is the input limit?

The UTF-8 input is limited to 1 MB and is processed locally.
