JSONPath Tester
Paste a JSON document and a standard JSONPath expression to see matching values and normalized node paths, entirely in your browser.
JSON up to 256 KiB; expression up to 4,096 characters. Browser only.
Enter JSON and a JSONPath expression to begin.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste a JSON document up to 256 KiB and enter a JSONPath expression up to 4,096 characters.
- Run the query to inspect matched values and normalized paths.
- Review the first 500 matches; queries exceeding the execution time limit are stopped.
RFC 9535 JSONPath
Queries use jsonpath-rfc9535 1.3.0, an implementation of RFC 9535. Standard selectors and functions are handled by the library; custom operators are not added.
Bounded browser execution
JSON input is limited to 256 KiB, expression length to 4,096 characters, document nesting to 64 levels, results to 500 rows, and execution to 2.5 seconds. A timeout terminates the query worker. All processing stays in your browser.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Which JSONPath dialect is supported?
RFC 9535 JSONPath via jsonpath-rfc9535 1.3.0, without custom operators.
What does a normalized path show?
It identifies each matched node from the root using the RFC implementation’s normalized path format.
Is my JSON uploaded?
No. Parsing and querying run locally in a browser worker.
