Lambing and Calving Percentage Calculator
Calculate offspring reared per female bred as a percentage from your matching animal counts.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter the nonnegative whole number of offspring reared for your selected group and period.
- Enter the positive whole number of females bred for the corresponding group and period.
- Calculate, then copy the report or download TXT.
Calculation
Percentage = offspring reared ÷ females bred × 100.
What the result covers
This measures offspring reared per female bred, not pregnancy rate or offspring survival rate. Multiple births can produce more than 100%. Use matching cohorts and define the rearing endpoint consistently. The result does not diagnose reproductive health.

GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Why can the result exceed 100%?
A female can rear more than one offspring. For example, 150 offspring reared for 100 females bred gives 150%; it is not capped at 100%.
Can I use this as pregnancy or survival rate?
No. Those measures require different numerators and denominators. This tool uses only offspring reared and females bred.
