LED Savings Calculator
Compare the same number of old bulbs and replacement LEDs over 365 days using your electricity rate and daily operating hours.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter bulb counts, power, and daily hours.
- Enter LED purchase price and your electricity rate.
- Review annual energy, costs, and simple payback.
Calculation
Annual energy = bulb count × watts × daily hours × 365 ÷ 1,000. Cost = energy × your rate. Savings = old cost − LED cost. Simple payback = total LED price ÷ annual savings, only when savings are positive.
Estimate uses 365 identical days and equal bulb counts. Use one currency for LED price and electricity rate; costs and savings use that currency. Negative savings mean increased electricity costs.
Actual savings are not guaranteed. This excludes installation, disposal, maintenance, bulb life, replacement costs, fixed utility charges, discounts, taxes, and changes in usage or rates. Match the lighting output you need separately.
