Loom Warp Calculator
Calculate warp end count from fabric width and ends per unit width.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Enter the usable fabric width and its unit.
- Enter the required warp-end density in ends per the same width unit.
- Calculate the rounded-up end count, then add any selvedge ends or loom allowance separately.
Formula and limits
Required warp ends = fabric width × ends per unit width, rounded up to a whole end. Use matching width units. The result excludes selvage ends, draw-in, breakage reserve, and loom-specific allowances unless you include them in the input.

GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
How are the warp ends calculated?
Multiply fabric width by ends per unit width and round up to a whole end.
Are selvage ends included?
No. Add selvage ends and any loom allowance separately.
Can I mix centimetres and ends per inch?
Use matching width units or convert one value first.
