This is a linear mass approximation. Above about 28–30% moisture, wood exceeds fibre saturation and its dimensional/property relationships change. This tool does not model shrinkage, swelling or density changes.
Use the correct dry weight
Do not enter an already air-dry weight as oven-dry weight. Dry-basis moisture can exceed 100%; the input limit is 1000%. Weight must be greater than zero and no more than 1,000,000 kg.
