A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose chord-to-number or number-to-chord mode and a major key.
  2. Enter chord symbols or Nashville tokens separated by spaces, commas, bars, or new lines.
  3. Convert locally, review unsupported tokens, and copy the result.

Supported symbols

Chord roots A–G may use one # or b, followed by a suffix such as m, 7, maj7, sus4, or dim. Nashville tokens use an optional b or #, a degree 1–7, and a suffix. Slash chords and key changes inside one progression are not interpreted.

Major-key spelling

The converter uses the seven degrees of the selected major key. Output chord names prefer flats for flat keys and sharps for other keys; enharmonic spelling may differ from a published chart.

Notation aid, not harmonic analysis

Suffixes are preserved as text. The tool does not infer chord quality, inversions, secondary dominants, modes, timing, or whether a progression is musically correct.
