Pad
Your draft stays in this browser using local storage. This is an independent implementation of the scratchpad workflow; no account or upload is needed.
Preview supports headings, flat lists, fenced code, inline code, bold, italic and links. HTML, images and other syntax remain text. Only http, https and mailto links are clickable; opening a link leaves this tool.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Write or paste a note (up to 100,000 characters).
- Choose plain text or the supported Markdown preview.
- Download the original note as TXT or MD.
Local draft
Notes autosave after 400 ms without input. Browser storage is not encrypted; clearing storage, private browsing or a different browser can lose or hide your draft. Storage errors are shown; download a file to keep a copy.
Safe Markdown subset
Supports headings, flat ordered/unordered lists, fenced code, inline code, bold, italic and inline links. HTML, images, nested formatting, tables and other extensions remain text. Only absolute http, https and mailto links are clickable; clicking opens an external destination. Preview itself fetches no URLs.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
How are words counted?
Words are whitespace-separated tokens, not a language-aware count. Characters count Unicode code points; the input limit uses browser UTF-16 units.
Does MD export convert the note?
No. TXT and MD exports both contain the original text, including any Markdown syntax.
