SADDLE-STITCH PRINTING
Arrange pages for a folded booklet
Choose a PDF, paper size, and spine gutter. Blank pages are explicit; output is local and two-up.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Choose a PDF with 1–200 pages.
- Set the output paper and spine gutter; blank pages are added to complete each four-page sheet.
- Download the two-sided booklet PDF and use the duplex flip guidance when printing.
Saddle-stitch order
Pages are padded to a multiple of four with explicit blank pages. Each landscape sheet places the outside pages on its front and the inside pages on its back so folded sheets read in order.
Print and flip guidance
Print at 100% or actual size with duplex enabled and flip on the short edge. Confirm your printer’s duplex direction with one test sheet; the generated PDF includes fold guides but does not control printer settings.
Local PDF handling
The selected PDF is read and rearranged in your browser with pdf-lib. It is not uploaded, sent to an API, or stored by this page. Password-protected, encrypted, signed, and unsupported PDFs are rejected.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
How many pages can I use?
One to 200 pages. The output is padded to a multiple of four with explicit blank pages.
Which duplex setting should I use?
Use actual size and duplex with flip on the short edge, then test one sheet because printer drivers label options differently.
Does the tool upload my PDF?
No. Reading, arranging, and generating the output happen locally in your browser.
