A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Choose one PDF file up to 50 MB.
  2. Review the locally read file signals and supported standard Info fields.

Read-only standard fields

The viewer reports the PDF header version, exact selected-file size, page count, encryption marker, and eight common Info entries: Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator, Producer, CreationDate, and ModDate.

Local processing and limits

One application/pdf file up to 50 MB and 200 pages is parsed locally with pdf-lib; it is not uploaded or modified. Encrypted, malformed, and unsupported files may prevent metadata parsing. This does not inspect XMP, attachments, custom fields, or certify security or authenticity.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Does this show every kind of PDF metadata?

No. It reads eight common standard Info fields. XMP packets, attachments, custom entries, document IDs, and private application data are outside its scope.

Is an encryption marker check a security assessment?

No. It reports whether the parser found the PDF encryption marker. It does not prove that a document is safe, authentic, or protected against access.

Is my PDF uploaded or changed?

No. The selected file is inspected in this browser and is not rewritten.
