A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter one item per line or separate items with commas.
  2. Choose whether duplicate entries remain eligible and set a pick count within the available-item bound.
  3. Pick the items and review the result; ordinary browser randomness is used, not cryptographic randomness.

Explicit duplicate policy

Keep duplicates when repeated entries should have proportionally more chances, or switch to unique items when each distinct value should have one chance.

Bounded local selection

Input is parsed and selected in this browser. The count must be a whole number from 1 through the number of available items, and the selection is without replacement.

Ordinary randomness

This tool uses Math.random for casual choices. It is not a cryptographic random source and must not be used for secrets, tokens, gambling, or security decisions.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Can duplicate entries be selected separately?

Yes, when Keep duplicates is selected. Each occurrence is an available slot.

Can the same item be picked twice in one run?

No. Selection is without replacement, though repeated input values can produce the same displayed value when duplicates are kept.

Is this cryptographically secure?

No. It uses ordinary browser randomness for casual choices only.
