Plain Text to HTML
Paste plain text to create safe HTML using paragraphs and <br> tags; nothing is uploaded.
Blank lines make paragraphs; other line breaks become <br>. Input is escaped, never interpreted as HTML.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste plain text.
- Choose Convert to HTML.
- Copy or download the escaped HTML.
Plain text stays plain
The input is escaped for &, <, >, quotes, and apostrophes before tags are generated. Typed HTML is displayed as text and cannot create markup.
Paragraph and line rules
Blank lines separate paragraphs. A single line break inside a paragraph becomes <br>. Leading and trailing spaces on each line are preserved as escaped text.
Limits and encoding
Input is limited to 100,000 UTF-16 code units. Newlines are normalized from CRLF or CR to LF; all other Unicode characters are retained.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Can input create a link or script?
No. All markup characters are escaped, so input is never interpreted as HTML.
How are blank lines handled?
One or more blank lines separate paragraphs; nonblank lines within a paragraph are joined with <br>.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Conversion, copying, and download happen locally in your browser.
