Podcast RSS Feed Validator
Paste a podcast RSS feed to check its local XML structure and common metadata gaps. No feed URL is fetched and no enclosure is requested.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste one RSS XML document up to 2 MiB with at most 10,000 items.
- Select Validate podcast RSS.
- Review errors and warnings for the feed and its channel items.
Local XML and RSS checks
The browser parses the pasted XML and checks for a well-formed document, an RSS 2.0 root, channel title, link, and description, plus item GUID presence and duplicates.
Useful warnings, limited scope
Warnings highlight common structure gaps such as missing item titles, descriptions, publication dates, enclosures, or channel language. They are advisory and do not represent complete Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or directory compliance.
Bounded and inert
Input is limited to 2 MiB and 10,000 items. No network requests, enclosure downloads, external entity execution, feed crawling, or directory submission occurs.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does this validate Apple Podcasts or Spotify compliance?
No. It checks well-formed XML, RSS 2.0 structure, required channel fields, GUID issues, and useful warnings. Directory-specific compliance requires separate review.
Does it fetch the RSS URL or enclosure files?
No. Paste the XML directly. The browser only parses the supplied text and makes no feed or media requests.
What happens with duplicate GUIDs?
Each duplicate GUID is reported because GUIDs should identify distinct episodes consistently within the feed.
How large can the feed be?
The pasted XML may be up to 2 MiB and may contain up to 10,000 item elements.
