Profanity Filter
Paste text, add one term per line, choose a replacement, then create a clean copy without uploading anything.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Paste up to 100,000 characters and enter up to 100 literal terms.
- Choose whole-term or anywhere matching and set the replacement text.
- Filter the text, review it, then copy or download the result.
User-defined literal terms
The filter ships without a remote word list. You provide the terms to match, so the same local tool can suit your moderation policy and language.
Conservative matching
Whole-term mode respects Unicode letter, number, mark, and underscore boundaries. Anywhere mode replaces literal text wherever it occurs. Matching can ignore case.
Local text processing
Input, terms, and output stay in this browser. No API, network request, account, or server-side moderation is used.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Does it detect every offensive expression?
No. It only matches the literal terms you provide; spelling variants, obfuscation, context, and meaning are outside scope.
Can I choose the replacement?
Yes. Enter any replacement up to 100 characters, including an empty replacement if you want to remove matches.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Filtering runs in the browser and does not call an external service.
