Random Decimal Fraction Generator

Choose numeric bounds, decimal places, and output count. Values are generated locally with browser randomness and rounded to the selected precision.

Range: −1,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000 · 0–6 decimal places · up to 100 values.

Values are generated locally with browser randomness. This is not a source of certified or reproducible random numbers.

A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a minimum and maximum from −1,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000.
  2. Choose 0–6 decimal places and up to 100 values.
  3. Generate the list and copy the newline-separated results.

Precision is explicit

The tool converts the range to integer units at the selected decimal precision, then formats each result with exactly that many decimal places.

Bounded local generation

Each request is limited to 100 values and the numeric bounds are limited to ±1,000,000,000. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Randomness limitation

When supported, the browser Web Crypto API supplies fresh random bits with rejection sampling. This utility does not promise certified, auditable, reproducible, or cryptographic-key generation.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Are the bounds included?

Yes. The representable values at the selected precision use an inclusive range.

Why can a result equal a bound after rounding?

The selected precision defines the available decimal units. The tool samples those units directly and formats them without adding extra digits.

Can I reproduce a result later?

No. There is no seed or history. Each request uses fresh local browser randomness when available.

Is this suitable for security keys or regulated sampling?

No. It is a general-purpose local utility and does not provide an audit trail, certification, reproducible seed, or security review.
