Random IP Generator
Choose an address family, range, and count to create local random IP examples for test data and documentation.
Public candidates are not allocations and are not guaranteed unused, routable, or reachable.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How to use this tool
- Choose IPv4 or IPv6 and a public-candidate or private range.
- Set a count from 1 to 100.
- Generate and copy the newline-separated addresses.
Range-aware examples
Private IPv4 results use RFC 1918 blocks and private IPv6 results use the unique-local fc00::/7 range. Public-candidate IPv4 results exclude common private, loopback, link-local, documentation, multicast, reserved, and special-use blocks; public-candidate IPv6 results use 2000::/3.
No assignment or reachability guarantee
A generated public candidate is only a syntactically valid example from a broad address range. This tool does not allocate addresses, query registries, test ownership, or guarantee that an address is unused, routable, or reachable.
Web Crypto in this browser
Random bytes come from crypto.getRandomValues and stay in this page. Generation stops with an error if browser Web Crypto is unavailable.
GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
Can I use a generated public address on a server?
Only if that address has actually been assigned to you and your network is configured for it. This generator does not provide an allocation.
Are private results guaranteed unused?
No. Check the target network for conflicts before assigning an address.
Are the results unique?
The tool removes duplicates within one generated batch, but cannot know whether an address is used elsewhere.
