A QUICK WALKTHROUGH

How to use this tool

  1. Set the original and target servings or yield counts.
  2. Enter ingredients as quantity | unit | label.
  3. Convert to see scaled quantities while units and labels remain unchanged.

Linear scaling

The multiplier is target yield divided by original yield. Every nonnegative numeric ingredient quantity is multiplied by that ratio and rounded to up to six decimal places, with trailing zeroes removed. An empty quantity field is treated as zero; blank lines are ignored and an empty list yields an empty result.

Labels and units

Units and ingredient labels are retained after trimming surrounding whitespace. The tool does not convert units, evaluate recipes, calculate nutrition, or provide cooking safety advice.

GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

Can I mix units?

Yes. Each line keeps its own unit; no unit conversion is performed.

How should I format ingredients?

Use quantity | unit | label, for example 200 | g | flour.

Does it calculate nutrition?

No. It only scales the quantities you enter.
